She is a great example of pure love towards others and can always see the potential that they have rather than their faults and weaknesses.

Dear Sheri, THANK YOU for sharing yourself with us!  You are Beautiful INSIDE and OUT!
(She also has the most adorable family of Blondies you've ever seen!)

Meet "Just a Mom" Keirsten
{side note:  when she emailed back about being highlighted today she said, "I'm just a Mom!" --- continue to read and tell us what YOU think?}

 Hello Keirsten!!!

Full name:
Keirsten Schow Reinhold

Instagram User Name:
@keirstenreinhold

Currently resides:
Originally from Idaho Falls, Idaho, but have lived in Kaysville, Utah for almost 20 years. Am I a "local" yet?

Treat:
Dirty diet coke & swig sugar cookies (how typical) and caramel ANYTHING....and a good steak salad with melty gorgonzola cheese. I could go on...

Talent:
I have freakishly photographic memory for totally unimportant details. For example, I can tell you what you wore 10 years ago on a Tuesday in May, or exactly what kind of granite a Parade of Homes house had 5 years ago, but I can't remember to take the garbage out on Thursday night. Ever. Which is crazy because I'm very observant, detail-oriented & kinda nosy. Really I joke that I should be a private investigator. Or a professional stalker. You'd think I could remember the garbage!! Good thing the spouse remembers all the important things.

Weird Fact:
I have 11.2K Pinterest Pins. There should be a medal for this, right?

Fave Quote:
I'm a total quote freak.
(How can I possibly choose one?)

Fave color:
I love, love, love, all colors. I've had rooms in my homes that were various shades of orange, red, gold, blue & green. I will never have an all-white home. Although very beautiful too, it's just not me.

I was a Secondary Ed Home EC major at Utah State when I had to change my major 3 semesters before graduation because I could NOT pass the sewing classes. I had to student-teach 7th graders how to thread a serger and I had to make a tailored blazer. Can you imagine??! (No biggie for some of you) It was horrible. So I got rid of the teaching part of my major and graduated in Family Life, a composite major. But I learned a lot in that area of study. I have always loved fashion, interior design, cooking, and managing a home. Nutrition, finance, family & childhood development were in there too. My major taught me everything I needed to know about being a SAHM (stay at home mom). .....Except the parts about the real challenges & joys that can be found in staying home to raise a family. That's the important stuff that I've learned on my knees.

[LOVE THAT...A LOT!!!]

I'm married to Rand Reinhold, who I met at Ricks College 23 years ago this month. He was a hunky football player from Salt Lake, pretty much my dream. We married the following summer (in typical Ricks College fashion), and have been blessed with 3 boys, Ashton-19, Hyatt-17, and Boston-9. Ashton is currently serving a mission in Charlotte, NC. (He will hit his Hump Day on September 18th.

This is also my husband's exact same mission. {Cooleo!!}Which is crazy, to say the least. I've never learned more about myself or my little family than I have during this year. Being a missionary family is like having this new type of glue that just instantly binds you to each other & other families who are in your shoes. It's been an amazing, horrible (can I say that?), happy, sad, challenging, rewarding, unbelievable experience. I am in awe of these young missionaries (Elders AND Sisters) who are literally flooding the earth with their examples of goodness and service. With willing & happy hearts & spirits, to boot! It has been a gift to witness! #hastenthework

{WE GET THIS...as WE are Missionary Families too!}

I'm also the lucky mom of a sweet boy with Down Syndrome and I truly do consider myself LUCKY. Hyatt is now 17 years old and a Senior in High School. I was 25years old when he was born; it was completely unexpected. That was the time in my life when I truly discovered the gift of "The Comforter". Never before had I felt the almost-tangible arms of strength & peace wrapped around me. The Spirit carried us through those first months of Hyatt's life with an almost EASINESS. That sounds crazy, but we were not sad! Scared, but NOT sad or angry. We were blessed with the knowledge that he was here with US for a reason. Those reasons have slowly been manifested to us through the years. He is a light to all who know him and wouldn't trade what I've learned about unconditional love, patience, forgiveness, purity, and joy for anything!
Being a mom is my life!

Also extremely thankful for a 3rd angel who came 8 years after Hyatt. Pretty much my best friend & sidekick.

I'm so full of gratitude for the examples of strong mothers & women in my life. My own beautiful mom who raised 5 children in the Church by herself and who never wavered in her testimony even though her husband's testimony has never been strong. I cherish the friendships I have with my sisters & girlfriends as well, We NEED each other to survive this crazy life! I am constantly learning and growing through the example of strong, faithful women.  As strange as it may sound, I learn so much from my little circle of Instagram friends & Bloggers. {WOOT!} It truly is an amazing community of friendship & support. Not to mention talent, staggering beauty and unending resources for EVERYTHING. It makes me sad when I hear criticizing of women BY other women. It's OK to post a selfie, take a picture of a beautiful meal or creation you made, or talk about the accomplishments of your children! It's also OK to be real and admit when we don't have "it all together". Let's love each other anyway! Thanks for letting me learn from you too, Your Sister Circle! What a fab group of ladies.
Your Sister~
Keirsten❤️
Thanks for letting me ramble....

Keirsten, Your a STAR!
A STAR Mom, that's for Sure!
Thanks for blessing our lives with yours!

HOLY COW Ladies!
That was such a treat!
We can learn so much from others lives.

Can NOT wait for next week!!!
Have a super day!

She is Fierce!

I was preparing my kids backpacks with their first day of school essentials.
Charlee's first grade teacher had them prepare a sack filled with things to describe them. On the front of the sack was a set of questions to fill our about them selves....
I was making dinner and so mike was helping Charlee  with this the sack!
The very last question was "What is something that makes you special"
Her first response was, "I'm special cuz I don't like anyone telling me what to do"  lol
Seems legit coming from a 6 year old right?
Mike quickly geared her in the right direction on how to answer the question.
Then she shouts "I have the cutest PEANUT ear, THAT is what makes me special. " Heavenly Father whispered something special in my ear and fold it back up when I was born"
.
.
I stopped making dinner and looked over at mike........
He was hesitant to let her write that down, the protector came out and I could see FEAR in his eyes that she would explain this out loud to the whole class.
His fatherly instincts wanted to roll her up like a burrito, and put her somewhere safe for the next 10 years....right?  lol
.
.
My first words were  "Yes!, Let her express how she feels....let her SHOUT out for the first time about her baby ear, that SHE loves so much.
I got a little emotional thinking about it.
From the moment we saw Charlee as a newborn and her "Microtia" ear. {Baby ear, fairy ear} we both decided we are going to teach Charlee to LOVE it. To be proud of who she is. That she is beautifully made.
And, that DAY------proved we did just that.
Because she does. She isn't afraid of sharing, expressing or letting it show.

Us parents are more fearful.
Of her being hurt.
I won't lie------I prayed the next day, for Mike, for charlee, her teacher and classmates.
For kindness....:)
Proud of her......and her natural Courage!

Charlee isn't fearful of who she is.
Oh the things this girl teaches us.
We can learn so much from our children............life should be happy, simple, loving and forgiving and fearless.
.
.
.
She was born brave, sweet, courageous, smart and loud like a firecracker!
.
She is fierce.

RECIPE TIME!!!

HI ALL THE BUDDIES!!
Kristi here...

So...WHO DOESN'T LOVE A GOOD, HEALTHY AND FILLING RECIPE??!!
Well.. Have I got one for you!!
You might just die....

READY?!! OK...DON'T DIE!!!

First of all.. this recipe has Quinoa in it. (keen-wah)
And if you haven't tried Quinoa you need to try it. Don't be afraid to try it or cook it. It is SO EASY and SO GOOD FOR YOU!! My daughter keeps telling me "MOM..its a super food!!"

Here's a quick schooling on QUINOA!
Quinoa is what's called a complete protein...meaning it contains all nine of the essential amino acids that cannot be made by the body and therefore must come from food. While no single food can supply all the essential life sustaining nutrients...Quinoa comes as close as any other in the plant or animal kingdom.
Plus...its gluten free!

OK....class dismissed!
{and yes..i did google that ok!!??}
#ilovegoogle

I basically substitute Quinoa for anything I use rice or oats for...

OK! LETS EAT!!

CHICKEN & QUINOA ENCHILADA BAKE

First: bake 4-5 chicken boobs for about 35-40 minutes... seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic salt, paprika and cumin.
let cool and shred.

Next: Line a baking dish with about a 1/2 Cup of enchilada sauce and 1/2 Cup of salsa... top with a layer of tortillas.

In a large bowl mix together:
2 C shredded chicken
2 1/2 C cooked Quinoa
1 can Black beans (rinsed)
1 can corn (drained)
1 sm can green chilis
1/2 C chopped onion
1/2 C cheddar cheese
2 C enchilada sauce
1 C salsa
season to taste
(I used salt, pepper, garlic salt, cumin and season salt)

Spread mixture over tortillas. Top with shredded Monterey Jack cheese and cover with foil.

Bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and broil on high until lightly browned and bubbly. (about 4 minutes)

SMELL IT???!!!

Serve topped with sour cream, avocado and cilantro.

This recipe fills a 13x9 baking dish and feeds a small army... or my son for one meal. :)

And to wash it all down...
Here is my most favorite Juicing recipe ever!
I seriously have to have at least one of these a day....

1 Fresh Beet (make sure you peel it)
1 large grapefruit
1 lime
1 large apple
4 carrots

ITS SO GOOD!!! YOU'RE WELCOME!!

Ok..and for the finale....Here's the quick tutorial on how to cook Quinoa.
1/2 C Quinoa
1 Cup water
{this makes 1 1/2 C of cooked Quinoa}
First...after you  measure out the amount you want to cook... you need to rinse it. (I used both red and white quinoa)

I just put the Quinoa in a pint mason jar and fill the jar with water....
I let it sit for a few minutes and all the Quinoa settles to the bottom.
Then I just pour off the liquid. I do this a couple of times.

Pour the rinsed Quinoa into a pan and add the 1 C Water.
Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to simmer.
Cook for about 15 minutes or until all the water has cooked out.

{If you have a rice cooker...you can skip the pan step and put it right on in there!!!}
You know the Quinoa is done when the white is translucent...isn't it so pretty?!!

Learn how to cook...try new recipes...learn from your mistakes...BE FEARLESS and above all...have fun. ~Julia Child

STORIES OF FAITH.....

We decided as sisters that we LOVED the idea of having some other sisters from our circle share their stories of faith....
SO for as long as the stories continue to be emailed and shared with us....we will be posting them on Mondays.
AWESOME RIGHT!!!????

We are grateful for the sisters who have shared their stories... and for anyone who is thinking about it..PLEASE DO IT....Do it right now!!!
Its all about uplifting and sharing our light with each other..... even if you don't think its worth sharing... SHARE!!
You can be anonymous...just let us know when you email us..that you don't want your name/email/instagram name added and we won't!!

So here we go!!!

"Everyone has loss in their lives! Sometimes it seems some of us have more than others. But I am a true believer that loss is there to teach us we can do hard things! Heavenly Father has a plan! Three years ago a dear friend of mine lost her son to a rare form of cancer. He was one of my daughters best friends. Three months later we lost my brother to a tragic motorcycle accident. As our family struggled to find the purpose in the loss of these loved ones, we also found comfort knowing we would see them again! My oldest daughter lost one of her dear friends this past May, yet again not knowing all of the answers, but having the faith to trust in Heavenly fathers plan we have made it through these tragedies stronger in our faith! It became Very clear to me a few days ago when my sweet 12 year old daughter was crying over a beloved pet that she knew was having a health issue. She told me "Mom, I don't want her to die, but I know she is going to." I left the room for a moment and I then heard her get on her knees and start praying loud and hard. I thought for sure I was going to hear her plead with Heavenly Father to save her pet, but through her faith in our Heavenly Fathers plan, she prayed for Heavenly Father to please take her pet quickly to ease her suffering! I was amazed at this! Of all the things to have learned in this life, loss is a hard one to deal with. May we all have the Faith in our heavenly fathers plan and except what we cannot see or even understand!
Ether12:6  And now I Moroni would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith."
