SISTER HIGHLIGHTS!!!!!

 I HAD A HORRIBLE FIRST  MARRIAGE THAT WAS A NIGHTMARE AND 
THEN 10 YEARS LATER FELL IN LOVE WITH MY HUSBAND.   

MY SON IS 19 AND A WONDERFUL YOUNG MAN !! 
I HAVE TWO BEAUTIFUL STEPDAUGHTERS 19 AND 23. 
AND OF COURSE MY PRECIOUS BABY LULU
 WHO IS MY YORKIE DOG.

Where do you live? 
I live in beautiful sunny Southern Utah.

What is your favorite treat? My favorite treat would have to be my moms homemade brownies, or a cold Kit Kat bar straight from the cold fridge. 

What is your favorite color? I love color! turquoise (if its a color! mustard yellow and pink too)

Tell us one of your unique talents? I am almost 35 and not nearly as skinny and active as I used to be, but let me stretch a bit and I can still do the splits. Woot Woot! 

What is your favorite quote? I have this quote on a plaque in my home, and I love it so much. "We may not have it all together, but together we have it all!" my family is my everything, even when it can be crazy and nuts. I truly "have it all" having all of them. 

Tell us one person that inspires you and why?
My grandmother Wilma Vreeken, she has since passed, but when she was here she exuded all things lovely to me. She was domesticated and loved making her house a home. She loved antiques and collected them, she truly had many different and pretty treasures. She taught me what it was like to be a lady; graceful, sweet and kind. She always wore her peachy coral lips, and pink painted cheeks. She smelt lovely and always had matching accessories right down to a broach on her pretty ruffled blouse or sweater. She never spoke, in the entire life I new her in, a bad or negative word about anyone. In face she always found the good in everyone and always showered you with compliments. She was a woman of god and faith and was even the relief society president at one time. She had a voice of an angel, and sang in the LDS tabernacle choir too. She was an amazing cook and to this day my favorite meal is homemade cabbage rolls. I fell in love with them when my grandmother made them one time. She was my favorite and I called her "peaches", because she had the softest, prettiest, peachiest cheeks, you ever did see. She always would giggle her sweet giggle when I would see her and say "Hi Peaches" and stroke the back of my hand across her sweet cheek. I miss her dearly and have treasured memories of her and being with her.

Where do you live? 
I am a military wife, so currently Puerto Rico. Don't hate! Living in the tropics ain't all it's cracked up to be! Vacationing and LIVING here- two totallllly different experiences.. It's beautiful and the weather is amazing but I have lived in the states too long, therefore I am SPOILED with expectations of what medical and dental care should look like and I really miss driving laws actually being enforced. 

What is your favorite treat? 
anything I deem worthy enough to hide in the bathroom, closet, pantry, or car with so I don't have to share with the kids. Usually a row of double stuffed oreos. 

What is your favorite color? 
I don't really have a favorite so I pick the Rainbow,  Gold is my least favorite, must be God's too since it's not in the rainbow.. :P

Tell us one of your unique talents? 
God didn't give me a crafty bone. ;( But, I can cook pretty dang good though and hope to one day open up a small "mom and pop" cafe where I can sit and chat with my regulars about the grandkids and the good ole days. 

I currently can catch puke mid air, with my bare hands and not blink an eye. I can usually tell with the first cry regardless of where my kids are what I need to grab: ice pack, new skin (medical grade super glue) or ignore. Oh and I can do this with my tongue, can you? 

(I don't know about you ladies out there.... but that sounds like talents to me! don't know about the puke grabbing tho....)

What is your favorite quote?

Tell us one person that inspires you and why? 
Jesus. (and anyone who is a reflection of Him.)  
I am a sinner that was in need of a Savior, 
He deemed me worthy enough to save by dying on the cross.  
I am forever worthy in His eyes, regardless my MANY faults.  
How can I not be inspired by that?! :)

This support system was started LONG ago....Before we came to this world.
 Heavenly Father instituted a community of sisters.

Women who can love each other and praise each other.  

Lets pick up the hands that hang low. 
Give a hug or a smile or a plates of friggin cookies!

Let's look beyond ourselves and help that dear old granny at the supermarket who can't reach the canned peaches. 
We can all help! We can all reach out.

 Especially within the walls of our own home.
