Friends...

HELLO to all my Friends!

I wanted to share with you a few thoughts that have been going through my head.

God is REAL and he loves us unconditionally.

I think of how we love ourselves and we put conditions upon that love.

"If only if did that better..."
"I will like myself better if or when I lose these darn 15 pounds"
"I am so stupid because I make too many mistakes."

Have you ever noticed that we live by lies?
Distorted and twisted lies?
Where is the truth?

I have witnessed in my last 8 years of helping others that we all live by lies.
It is part of our existence here but
it doesn't have to define us.
We can find those lies, let them go and build upon truths that are eternal truths.

There are two wonderful articles that might open up your understanding of what I am talking about:
1- "Truth and Lies" by Jennifer Nucklos
2- What Are You Believing That Isn't True" by Darla Isackson
Google them and they will come right up.

I believe that we are born with characteristics and attributes of God, our Eternal Father.
We are his spirit children and thus, just like him.

That is our Spiritual DNA

We have also been born of goodly and not so goodly parents:)
We have physical DNA that has been passed down to us also.

Research has shown that not only are there physical attributes passed down but we have the emotional, spiritual and mental beliefs of our ancestors.
They are tucked in there too.
Our family stories are a part of us.

For example;
Gramma Bertha and Grandpa John had a belief that their thoughts and feelings were not important. That what they thought didn't matter. They felt they had no voice.

They passed down the DNA through the family line and now we are wondering why we feel terrified to voice our feelings to anyone because underneath the DNA belief, we have to please others and if we don't then we would be rejected.

Don't you think that is so interesting?
We are not our own self.
We are a combination of our family stories.
Including the Physical and Spiritual.

Isn't that incredible!!!!
There is oppositions in all things!

Now listen....

We also have the good the Gramma Bertha and Grandpa John passed down.
There strength! The love! Their devotion and loyalty! Their work ethic.

We are privileged to come down to a world with imperfect parents and
to fallen world to participate in a
PERFECT PLAN!

Weaknesses are given to us by our Savior Jesus Christ
(Ether 12:27, Book of Mormon)
We are given such incredible weaknesses that when we apply the Atonement of our Savior we will be given Grace.
The Grace we need to strengthen those weakness and become more like our Savior.

Now,
We also have within us wonderful spiritual DNA.
Let's seek for those divine gifts.
Lets look forward to what we can become each and every day and we progress forward and sometimes backward or sideways... but we are always learning, right!

In the book,"The God Seed" by M. Catherine Thomas,
 a wonderful quote:
"We can let the process of development unfold from within, opening ourselves to the spacious unknown, steering toward the Light, not having to know exactly where we are going,
but trusting that there is Someone who does know."

Let us become Truth Seekers.
Finding truth and allowing the Light to teach us more.

We can become just like our Father in Heaven. We can progress and move with Him
throughout all eternity.

As we learn where we have come from it can help us see where we are going.
Let us rejoice in our infirmities! Let us be grateful for our DNA.
We have a great gift.

Let's work on ourselves and improve ourselves one day at a time.
Isn't it great?!!!

HUGS TIMES FIVE!!!
